All work matters and other stuff
I enjoy social media and at times I try to share something that could be useful for building up those who engage with my sites. Yesterday, I shared a thought that I hope to expound on soon. But until then, I thought I’d share it with you, too:
Meal planning for the week. It seems so mundane but it’s such significant work. It’s a means to care for my family, steward God’s gifts, and provide a way to enjoy fellowship with my closest neighbors. Hope that encourages you as you do the mundane and ordinary today. Maybe today you can write down how your ordinary tasks serve the Lord and bless others.
It can be easy for us to forget the significance of our work when it seems small and mostly unseen. I hope as you labor today, you remember that your work matters–all of it.

I wrote 52 Weeks in the Word to help us learn to be consistent and feel the freedom to return when we aren't. The goal of this book isn’t to win some race or prize; we don’t earn more favor before the Lord. The goal is Bible reading…

Part of my desire to write Creative God, Colorful Us, was to help us teach the next generation. I feature chapters on the gospel, the image of God, sin and its effect on relationships, loving our neighbor, specifically those who do not look this us, and more. And how we can enjoy our beautiful, colorful, diverse family: the church. So that’s what you’ll find in Creative God, Colorful Us.
This year we are taking a different approach. Instead of studying history, we are going to walk through it.
We are focusing our attention on experiencing Black history.
