Introducing 52 Weeks in the Word
You and I likely love God and love His Word and we desire to grow in love of God and His Word. I have had seasons of Spirit-filled, worshipful, and consistent times in the Word and seasons when reading has felt like a duty rather than a joy and delight. We all find ourselves struggling from time to time to read the Bible and interpret it correctly. And here’s the good news, that’s okay. Not only is it okay, it’s great. We want to know Him! I wrote 52 Weeks in the Word to help us learn to be consistent and feel the freedom to return when we aren't. The goal of this book isn’t to win some race or prize; we don’t earn more favor before the Lord. The goal is Bible reading…

A New Bible Study for the New Year!
It’s a new year and a great time to start a new study! I’m thrilled to share about my NEW study on Hebrews 11!
Isaiah Christmas
Every year since Tony Reinke introduced his Isaiah Christmas online reading club, I’ve taken up reading the wonderful book through the month of December. This year is no different. Although I’m terrible at remembering to use the hashtag associated with it, you can follow along via Twitter (and possibly Facebook) following the hashtag #IsaiahChristmas. And by all means, join us.
Jesus and the Samaritan Woman
God’s Word tells us that to endure in this life we must fix our eyes on Jesus (Heb. 12:2). But what does it mean to fix your eyes on someone you can’t see?
The Gospels tell stories about Jesus that show us his character. We learn how he interacted with people and the world around him. By studying these stories, we learn to set our eyes and hearts on him.
Jesus interacted with all kinds of people, but there’s something beautiful, convicting, countercultural, and transformative about Jesus’s interactions with women.
Will God really fight for you?
Do you believe that you must avenge yourself? Many of us do, whether we use those terms or not. It’s why we react the way we do when we are wronged by others. God calls us to a radical love that includes loving our perceived enemies. We won’t do it perfectly, but by the grace and power of God we can do more good than harm. We can strive to live peaceably with all no matter what the cost and no matter what they’ve done or who they are.
A new devotional study by Kristie Anyabwile and friends!
’m excited to share a new book with you! My dear friend, Kristie Anyabwile, had a desire to gather a diverse group of women together to create a devotional study on Psalm 119. And My Testimonies, His Heritage was born. I’m grateful to be one of the contributors!
I’d love for you to check out this video of Kristie sharing her heart behind the book.

A new journey
Two weeks ago today I was getting prepped for an unexpected surgery and after some prayer, I’ve decided it’s okay to share more.
The “If God Is For Us” online study begins this week! Here’s some FAQs
I am so thrilled about this 6-week online study hosted by the wonderful team at Moody Publishers! It begins on Monday, April 1, but as you’ll see below, if you miss this week, no big deal! I’ve received a few questions and want to jump right into the answers…
Announcing the “If God Is For Us” Online Study!
Starting April 1, join others from all around the world as we dig deep into one of the most cherished chapters of the Bible—Romans 8. Over 6 weeks, I will walk us through Romans 8 and help cement deep inside the scandalous truths of our great salvation, our inheritance, the assurance of our faith, and ultimately the love of our good Father…
He Will Give Us All Things
Inquisitive and tender, vivacious and loyal—that is how I’d describe my son and daughter respectively. They’re both intelligent and fun, undoubtedly two of the greatest gifts the Lord has given my husband and me…
No Longer Slaves
My mind struggles to understand slavery. I can’t imagine what it must have been like to wake up chained—metaphorically or literally—and owned by another human being. When my mind goes there, when I allow myself to try to put my feet in a slave’s shoes, I all but fall down in sorrow…
A Cherished Book, A Favorite Chapter
If someone had come up to me on the morning of my wedding day and asked me if I knew my husband-to-be well, I would have said yes without hesitation. Now, fifteen years later, I realize that while I did know him before I married him, I know so much more about him now. Our relationship has deepened, and my knowledge of him has exponentially increased since our wedding…
Mercy That Brings Us Together
Suggestion: read Ephesians 2 — I was dead. I was dead and by God’s grace he brought me to himself. I’m not talking about a physical death, obviously. I’m talking about a spiritual death—one we will all find ourselves in at some point.
All His Doing
My husband and I had two broken engagements before we were married. Yes, two. I was young and immature. I thought I needed to live it up a bit longer when really what I needed was Jesus. I wasn’t a Christian and neither was he. But my Thern continually pursued me. He never held my sin against me. He lavished care and sometimes, even gifts on me. But it wouldn’t be until the Lord sought me and saved me before I would marry this man I have loved now for over 15 years…
Let’s Study Ephesians!
I’m excited to share that I am going to be teaching a study through Ephesians…and you’re invited!
Book Study: Chapter 11, Growing in the Fear of the Lord
We’ve come to the end of what has been an incredible journey through the Bible considering how to fight our fears with faith. But the battle doesn’t end with the end of this book study. It takes the power of God and his grace made available to us through His Spirit to enable us to continue the race. So, how do we fight for faith and, essentially, how do you grow in the fear of the Lord?..
Book Study: Chapter 10, When Our Fears Come True
Read: Genesis 3
The story of the fall is all too familiar, thus this will likely be our shortest study to date. We know what happened. We know that Eve was tempted by the serpent, Adam cowardly stood by his wife and then ate the fruit from his wife, and sin entered the world. They both became completely aware of their nakedness and what was once completely pure now, instead, brought shame. They were ashamed of their nakedness and covered themselves with fig leaves. There’s much more that could be said but for now and the purposes of today’s study, this brief summary should do. But it’s the next few verses that I’d like for us to spend some time on…
