A Video: God’s faithfulness in 2017 and a look ahead
Hey, Friends!
I’m trying something a little new: videos! I hope you’ll check it out here:
Some quick highlights:
We’ll begin reading Spiritual Health Check in January. Grab one here.
More interactive opportunities such as reading books together, challenges, and the like. Can’t wait to share more.
I’ll be continuing writing about fear and faith, diversity and race, enjoying life as we wait for the next, and something new, women’s ministry.
Mostly, my prayer is that you would know and remember that God is faithful and will always be faithful. We don’t know what 2018 holds for us, but we can be sure that God will be good and faithful–that we can rely on.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Trillia

You and I likely love God and love His Word and we desire to grow in love of God and His Word. I have had seasons of Spirit-filled, worshipful, and consistent times in the Word and seasons when reading has felt like a duty rather than a joy and delight. We all find ourselves struggling from time to time to read the Bible and interpret it correctly. And here’s the good news, that’s okay. Not only is it okay, it’s great. We want to know Him! I wrote 52 Weeks in the Word to help us learn to be consistent and feel the freedom to return when we aren't. The goal of this book isn’t to win some race or prize; we don’t earn more favor before the Lord. The goal is Bible reading…
Trillia Newbell and Dr. Danny Huerta discuss the value of our celebrating racial and cultural diversity as an expression of God’s calling upon us to share His message of love and reconciliation through Christ to people of every nation, tribe, and language, and offer parents practical guidance for celebrating as a family.l begins with an idea.

There will also be a time for Q&A for you to ask your burning questions.

Part of my desire to write Creative God, Colorful Us, was to help us teach the next generation. I feature chapters on the gospel, the image of God, sin and its effect on relationships, loving our neighbor, specifically those who do not look this us, and more. And how we can enjoy our beautiful, colorful, diverse family: the church. So that’s what you’ll find in Creative God, Colorful Us.
This year we are taking a different approach. Instead of studying history, we are going to walk through it.
We are focusing our attention on experiencing Black history.
If you haven’t heard, when you pre-order Creative God, Colorful Us, you have access to a special group of conversations we’re calling Colorful Us! I wanted to answer some of your frequently asked questions…
